a poem by justme, reflecting on the stony mermaid

On the waters edge she lies, exposed and free.
At Kavourotripes she lay down beside the frothy sea.
Dimpled bumps and dips mark her naked stony flesh.
Hand stretched forth her back deflects the land of man
Every now and then she awakes...when no human eye beholds
to the caress of the pampering, delicate, drizzling, drops of sea gold.
The spell of time has cast that she must wait, she must wait to be free.
She longs to return to her watery kingdom, her home, her keep..
For now sweet human child , quiet now,
Please, let the lady sleep.

Stony mermaid, inspired by and dedicated to Sousanna

She has been lying on the shore
for hundreds of years
Paitiently waiting for every single wave
to caress her
Slowly letting the water, wind and light
change her form

vulnerably dissolving
in perfect beauty

bits and pieces of an average day?

Some pure things
get tainted
when they are spammed all over the place

You chose to end your life a few weeks ago
I got the message today
and it clouds my Now

Shyly yet persistently you joined our family
I now have the honor
to open your cat food dish

sprouts, inspired by and dedicated to CPE and Abi

This painting was inspired by a book by Clarissa Pinkola Estes and my dear friend Abi.
The book is called The Dancing Grandmothers. To BE Young While Old, Old While Young.
She gives such a powerful and beautiful Tree-analogy in it.
I try to translate a bit of it:
She says, even when a tree gets cut down,
after a while in most cases it will have new sprouts.
In this (daughter)sprouts the tree will live on.
She claims that every woman has a guardian deep within (roots),
which no matter what happens to the woman is available and can be activated.

Abi told me this:
...It was of a tree stump, with an axe stuck in it, and from the end of the axe handle, leaves had begun to sprout… the remembered life-force of the tree had traveled through the head of the axe, and flowed up into the handle…

I intend to share this picture for free with anybody who gets some strength or whatever out of it.
So, if you would like to have a high resolution file (printable up to posters 90 x 70 cm) just send me a private message and I will give you a link to download it.

Dear Mommy,

you hid in the cupboard with the !%$FJJ$§!-turning-knob.

Yours sincerely,

One-way cycle

Some channels are meant to be one-way
like blood circuit
or water circuit in rain and rivers

yet in the end the cycle is closed

I touched the beauty within you
now it lingers on in my heart and soul
a rooted junction line

even if it is *one-way* - we are connected

The tears you cry today
have the potential
to nourish the rose in your garden
in another Now.

Every single atom of the body
is ancient,
has gone through many life-cycles.

Imagine the wisdom
stored in every single cell
of your body.
